If you guys like chocolate covered strawberries, then you’re going to LOVE these strawberries dipped in white chocolate jazzed up to look like adorable little ghosts! It’s a quick and easy addition to any Halloween menu, and an absolute treat for kids.

► See video tutorial on YouTube or below.

- Fresh strawberries (washed and dried)
- White chocolate (I recommend white chocolate chips, or vanilla candiquik coating)
- Mini chocolate chips (for eyes and mouth)
- Veggie oil (will help the chocolate stick to the strawberry better, and adds a nice gloss coating)

*Ingredients can be purchased at your local grocery store.

The one thing I wish I had done differently was use white chocolate chips/vanilla candiquik coating instead of white chocolate truffle. The mixture was really thin, so I had to do multiple coats in order to get the right consistency. In this case, it was working with what I had, so if you have the option, go for the latter :)

Fill a small pot with about 2 inches of water and bring it to simmer. With a heat-proof bowl, add the white chocolate and stir until melted. Dipp, set aside on parchment paper, and add the mini chocolate chips for eyes/mouth.

Enjoy and have a spooky day!

Happy autumn season! With winter just a couple months away, I thought I would indulge you guys in a homemade lip scrub that will have you yearning for soft, smooth and kissable lips. Did I mention it’s pumpkin spice flavored? A winning combination in my books. The best thing about this DIY is that most of the ingredients can be found in your pantry. It’s natural, organic and incredibly delicious! Resist the urge to eat it once you’re done ;)

► See video tutorial on YouTube or below.

- 1 tbsp organic extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp organic honey
- 1 ½ tbsp organic sugar
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice

The sugar will act as an exfoliate. Honey has healing properties and is one of the ‘oldest’ natural antiseptics used by humans. Extra virgin olive oil add moisture. And the pumpkin spice…. Well, adds the to the flavor of the lip scrub! All you really need is the three basic ingredients, which is: evoo, honey, sugar + choice of flavor.

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well. You should get a smooth and grainy texture
  2. Transfer the mixture into a small container. The edible scrub will last two weeks if refrigerated.

To Use:
- Take a small pea-sized amount on your finger. Apply the lip scrub and gently rub back and forth for 1-2 minutes.
- Finish off with your favorite moisturizer.

Happy Monday everyone! First and foremost, I’m so sorry for the lack of blog updates. The past couple of months have been stressful and full of travel (which I love, love, love), so I had to exert most of my energy towards producing content for my YouTube channel and running the little jewelry business! I literally JUST got back from San Diego last night after being home for just a few days upon returning from Canada. I’m also in the process of revamping this blog, so… yeah. Busy, busy!

Anyway, I’m BACK. Yay! I decided to bring the FS700 with me to Canada and shot a bunch of random footage, so I cut together this slow-mo montage with our friends. I hope you all enjoy it! Let me know in the comments below if you’d like to see more of this type of content in future videos :)

Cap toe shoes are a big trend this year and the Internet will forever heart cats. What do you get when you combine the two? Cat toe shoes– or in this case, cat toe flats :)

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. A pair of flats (preferably with a round-toe)
  2. Black and white fabric paint
  3. Artist tape
  4. Large and small paint brushes
  5. Bobby pin

 photo 1_zps8440f061.png
Tape off the top of the flats and remember to press down firmly. We don’t want the paint to seep through.

Continue taping along the rim to make sure the paint doesn’t touch the non-fabric part of the flats.

Grab your paint brush and start painting! I did one coat of black fabric paint. Depending on how deep you want the color to be, one coat should work just fine.

Carefully remove the tape and paint small triangles for the ears.

Grab your trusty bobby pin and dip the bobby pin into the white fabric paint and gently poke a dot for the eyes :)

With a small angled paint brush, lightly make short strokes for the whiskers. Don’t worry if you mess up, you can always paint over and try again. You can also use white paint marker for finer strokes.

And ta-da! A pair of purrfect cat-toe flats for a playful and casual day out.

Greetings from Germany! We landed in Cologne yesterday and safely made it to our hotel. I’m uber jet-lagged, but so excited to be here in Deutschland. Adam and I are here for Gamescom, but most importantly, to celebrate our two year anniversary today. He definitely surprised me with this trip, but little did he know that I had something special planned for him too :)

Today, I surprised him with a video I made with the help of a dear friend who is amazing at shooting/editing (thanks Nao!) inspired by Oh Joy’s Blog blog post from her “Make Someone Happy” series. I’m not good with expressing my feelings, and this seem like the perfect way for me to tell him how I felt. It’s a cute, quirky and darling video and I really hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did making it.

And to my sweet, loving boyfriend- every day is always a new day with you. Full of love, life, laughter and adventure. Thank you for always being there to support me in my darkest hours. You always believed in me, pushed me to follow my dreams and step out of my comfort zone. I know we still have a long journey ahead of us, but I’m grateful and thrilled to be there every step of the way for you, as you’ve been there for me.

And to quote Mr. Darcy, “You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you”. Happy anniversary sweetie :)

Do you guys ever come home from work or school, and toss your keys aside? Then end up not finding it afterwards because you can’t remember where you tossed it? I’m guilty of this sometimes, so I decided to do a key holder tutorial. It’s a simple and practical accessory for any home.

Ready to make some space and get creative? Hope you guys enjoy this DIY :)

  • unframed canvas cork board
  • choice of fabric (for those of you who are wondering, I got mine at Michael’s. It reminded me of Minecraft!)
  • hot glue gun
  • measuring tape
  • x-acto knife & scissor
  • chalk for marking
  • screw hooks

*Most materials can be purchased at your local arts & crafts store. You can purchase the screw hooks at any hardware store.

Thank you so much for watching, and if you have any comments/feedback’s/suggestions, let me know in the comments below.
